"Actually, we’re pretty thankful for Mr. Franco on this one. His latest project, after the critical success of the salacious docufiction film Interior. Leather Bar., has had the Hollywood hipster searching desperately for a distributor. The Franco-produced documentary Kink, which details the lives of the employees of notorious fetish website kink.com (link NSFW), has now found a home with MPI Pictures and will be receiving a theatrical release in the summer of 2014.
James Franco’s next project, however, could be way less licentious. Rumor has it that he’s been working on another documentary, this time dealing with the cult following around the so-bad-it’s-good movie The Room.
Kink is directed by Christina Voros. The documentary explores the perception of the fetish and BDSM lifestyle and the lives of the adult stars who work in that industry. It premiered in 2013 at the Sundance Film Festival."
